Sixth and seventh graders are giving presentations to their peers. last semester on PBL’s that ask hard questions about Earth and Life Science. 7th graders explore the basic unit of life though the lens of the medical field and ask themselves why is the cell so important in understanding disease. They will continue to present their work. Next week Global warming from the 7th graders and How to Keep our Waterways Clean and Dynamic from the 6th graders.
I am so excited to be at Westside Global Awareness Magnet to begin the 2013-2014 school year. While I miss my girls at YOKA, I am thrilled to be a part of a community the focuses on GLOBAL AWARENESS and is the perfect place to do science. 2013- 2014 will be a great year and I look forward to working with all the young science students who will learn to think, act and BE CITIZEN SCIENTISTS!
